In this blog post, we introduce you to Plentics and its service offering at a high level. Plentics is a turnkey solution primarily aimed at Managed Service Providers (MSPs) but also serves direct end-user organizations that rely on in-house resources for their ICT operations. Since 2016, R&D investment in this device/endpoint management solution by Plentics has been significant, passing the 25-man-year mark some time ago.
You can visualize Plentics as a house that provides added value on top of a strong foundation: the Microsoft ecosystem, including Intune, Azure, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 (M365). The current Plentics solution, which includes Endpoint Management and Endpoint Analytics, is built on this foundation, delivering various features and value-adding aspects. The ISO 27001 certification serves as the roof, ensuring that Plentics’ information security management system (ISMS) meets the highest standards.
Microsoft Intune is the core component of this foundation and has had such a significant impact on the industry that it has become synonymous with device management. Microsoft Azure is the cloud-computing platform on which the Plentics solution resides, and it utilizes Azure’s features extensively. Plentics also leverages the low-code tools of the Microsoft Power Platform, such as Power BI for visualizations and Power Automate for automating processes within the Plentics solution. The Microsoft 365 license package, which includes Intune, is also part of the foundation, with its licensing model driving adoption in the industry as organizations seek to maximize the value from their M365 Intune licenses.
The Plentics solution is compatible with most operating systems, including Windows, Android, iOS, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
The Plentics Endpoint Management and Plentics Endpoint Analytics components work together to provide a comprehensive turnkey solution that can be tailored to meet the specific needs of MSPs and end-user organizations. These services can also be utilized independently, depending on customer requirements.
Endpoint Analytics provides powerful multitenant analysis capabilities, enabling organizations to efficiently analyze large volumes of devices. By gathering and analyzing data from devices, organizations gain valuable insights into device performance, usage patterns, and potential security risks.
Endpoint Management enables organizations to standardize and secure their devices across multiple tenants. With Endpoint Management, organizations can ensure that all devices are up-to-date with the latest software and security patches and that configurations are standardized and optimized for maximum efficiency.
In summary, Plentics Endpoint Management and Endpoint Analytics offer a robust and flexible device management solution for MSPs and end-user organizations looking to streamline and automate their ICT operations, enhance overall performance and security, and improve digital employee experience.
